PDUs: According to PMI, PDUs are used to quantify approved professional development activities. Typically, you earn one PDU for one hour (60 minutes) spent in a planned, structured professional development activity.
Lately, I’ve noticed that my projects are getting more complicated and status review meetings are focusing mostly on issues and complaints. In fact, all projects on the dashboard are struggling, which makes me ask myself, “What is going wrong in an otherwise well-oiled project management machine?”
* Professional Development: The Project Management Institute requires that a PMP® earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every three years in order to maintain certification.
